Problems for Rick Ross continue over his controversial lines on Rocko’s ‘U.O.E.N.O (You ain’t even know It)‘. The MMG boss was supposed to perform at the Ernst & Young Centre in Ottawa on Tuesday, April 2 but the show’s promoter, Urban Jamz Ent. decided to pull the plug on Friday due to security concerns stemming from protests by students of University Of Ottawa about his rape-condoning lyrics.
According to O.Canada.com, Since 2007, student associations at Carleton and the University of Ottawa have collaborated on an end-of-year concert dubbed Pandamonium but the Student Federation at the University of Ottawa pulled out this year over decision to include Ross in the list of performers. “He wasn’t an artist the SFUO could support,” said Ethan Plato, the federation’s president.
Ross’ apologies for “misunderstanding” and “misinterpretation” about the song haven’t been too effective so far.
