Ty Dolla $ign is riding high on the success of his single ‘Paranoid’ and his new one ‘Or Nah’ already gaining popularity. He’s now working on his debut album titled Free TC, which is named after his brother who is doing a life sentence on murder charges in L.A.
Ty talked about the story behind the title to Marisa Mendez of IFWT and also revealed some of the guests who are already confirmed to appear on the album plus the title of next single ‘Familiar’.
UPDATE: Ty has also revealed to Revolt that his upcoming ‘Or Nah’ remix will feature both Drake and The Weeknd. That explains Drizzy’s tweet the other day.
Your sister, you post a lot of pictures with her on Instagram. You guys are really close?
Yeah, really close. It’s me, her and my little brother, but he’s been locked up for a while. That’s going to be the name of my album, Free TC. I already got it tatted on my fingers.At what point do you feel like you’re going to be ready to put out the album? You’ve previously said that you felt like you didn’t have enough fans yet to put one out now and that’s why you did the EP, but what will be that defining moment?
I think after “Or Nah” and after “Familiar,” my next singles, I think it’s going to be crazy.Oh, so “Familiar” will be the next one following “Or Nah?”
