Busta Rhymes had been signed to Cash Money Records for 2 years now and he hoped to release his new album on the label but the situation has changed now. Busta stopped by Sway In The Morning show earlier this week for a long sit down.
The most striking part of the conversation was when he revealed (at the 9 minute mark in part 2) that he was no longer with Cash Money. Busta revealed that he left the label because of creative differences but there were no harsh feelings with Birdman or rest of the executives. He didn’t announce if he was staying independent with his Conglomerate imprint or signing with another major label.
Busta also spoke on making of ‘Calm Down’ with Eminem, Loaded Lux’s diss to him, if Leaders of the New School will ever reunite, losing a song to Nas, past dating rumors with Janet Jackson, his upcoming album ELE 2 and much more.
Heads up: MTV
