There’s barely been any response on Young Thug’s side to the backlash of wanting to name his debut album Tha Carter VI after Lil Wayne’s series. Although he’s made it clear that he looks up to Wayne as his biggest inspiration, it seems disrespectful to drop this album when Wayne’s Tha Carter V is being held up by Birdman.
But that’s not stopping anything. Young Thug uploaded the above image to his Instagram with the caption simply reading:

UPDATE: In a short video on Instagram, Young Thug say that he is changing the mixtape’s title from Carter VI to Barter VI to avoid legal action. This probably means a new cover is on its way too.
