The Game’s new album The Documentary 2 is in stores now (full booklet & production credits here) and the general consensus seems to be that he’s delivered a decent album.
The album is currently on top of the iTunes album chart, even ahead of Selena Gomez’ new album Revival. HDD has projected that the sequel to the rapper’s classic debut album is on course to sell 60-70k copies (75-85k SPS) in the first week which is currently just a little below Selena who is looking at 75-85k (85-95k SPS).
It many be a tight finish towards the end for the #1 spot so we will keep you updated.
In related news, Game sat down with his good friend DJ Skee to speak on the album, his various beefs, chemistry with Dr. Dre and reveals that he recorded 600-700 songs for the album but picked only 38 for the two discs. He also makes a confusing comment about disc 2, saying that people are “trash” for calling it “The Documentary 2.5” because it’s just titled Disc 2. Facepalm.
