UPDATE: The full and proper version of the video is finally here, would you believe it. And none other than the production company themselves have done it for us. Watch the HD version directed by Steve McQueen below.
Previous story (July, 2015):
As promised, Kanye West and director Steve McQueen debuted their music video for ‘All Day / I Feel Like That’ at the Los Angeles County Museum Of Art on Friday evening.
The premiere was more than just a screening as Kanye and Steve personally stopped by the venue and introduced the video to a very select audience comprising journalists and special invitees. Only about 120 people heard the duo speak on the concept of the video and why they decided to debut it at the museum.
The event was moderated by LACMA director Michael Govan where McQueen explained that he received a phone call out of the blue from Kanye a few years ago and then finally bumped into each other in London one day where they decided to work together. L.A. Times reports that Kanye told the crowd that he was a “bad celebrity, but a pretty good artist.”
Steve McQueen revealed to the audience that the video was shot in one continuous 9 minutes take. It was first premiered back in March in Paris.
Luckily for us, someone sneaked a camera in and shot the whole video which you can watch below.
