It looks like Phonte is finally ready to release his new album No News Is Good News after years of delay.
The singer-rapper who is part of the Foreign Exchange Music imprint announced on his social media channels that he will be releasing the album on September 30th which will be the follow up to his solo debut, 2011’s Charity Starts At Home.
Phonte was part of the group Little Brother along with Rapper Big Pooh who parted ways after the release of their last album LeftBack in 2010. But Phonte had promised fans that he will continue to make music. The North Carolina native is often mentioned as one of Drake’s biggest inspirations who influenced the Toronto star’s style of singing and rapping in his music.
