50 Cent paid the price for not adhering to the Caribbean laws on Saturday night.
He was the headliner at the St. Kitts Music festival in the Caribbean island of St. Kitts where he performed in front of a 40,000 strong crowd. Apparently, the DJ didn’t have a clean version of his set and 50 dropped the “m**herf*cker” bomb while performing his hit ‘P.I.M.P’. which led to his arrest.
Cursing in public is illegal according to Eastern Caribbean Law in Saint Kitts and Nevis. According to media reports, 50 and his manager had been warned prior to the performance about the law but 50 made the mistake of using profanity on stage which led to his and his bodyguard’s arrest. The two were granted bail in the amount of EC$5000 (One EC dollar = US$0.37 cents) each with two sureties. He’s expected to stay until Monday to get everything cleared from the local court.
DMX faced a similar situation back in 2003 when he was arrested for using profanity during the St. Kitts Music Festival Concert.
