Bobby Shmurda rose to sudden fame with his single ‘Hot N***a‘ in 2014, but his career came to a sudden halt the same year when him and his associates got arrested over a number of charges, including conspiracy to commit murder.
Jay-Z referenced Bobby’s name in his song ‘Bam‘ off theĀ 4:44Ā album, making a punchline out of Bobby’s violent tendencies. He rapped, “I’ll Bobby Shmurda anybody you heard of,” which is arguably one of the coldest bars on the project. But the same Bobby he referenced on the track has now accused Jay-Z and Roc Nation of mismanaging his career.
This is barely the tip of the iceberg; Bobby Shmurda, in an Instagram post, proceeded to accuse Jay-Z and his legal team of having pressured him into taking a plea deal. According to him, he even told the judge he was being pressured, and that the judge could care less. “The judge said he didn’t care he was sending me and all my friends upstate and we can get it on appeal,” he concluded.
