Kendrick Lamar and Janelle Monáe were the special guests to celebrate Fourth of July at the White House on Monday with President Obama, White House staff, some military personnel and their families. Both musicians have been to the White House before and are two of Obama’s favorite artists.
Obama took the mic briefly to talk about American independence and also sang happy birthday to his daughter Malia for her 18th. Kendrick performed ultra censored versions of several of his hits like ‘Swimming Pools (Drank),’ ‘Money Trees,’ ‘Bitch Don’t Kill My Vibe,’ ‘Poetic Justice,’ ‘A.D.H.D.,’ and ‘Alright.
