Snoop Dogg made a big return this week with his new album Coolaid, the first effort since the relaunch of his independent Doggystyle Records earlier this year.
The album, which boasts of production from Timbaland, Just Blaze, Swizz Beatz, Nottz and more as well guest appearances from Jeremih, Wiz Khalifa, E-40 and others, has received a good reaction from fans worldwide. Many have termed it as a return of Gangsta D.O.G.G music.
But on the sales front, the album is doing disappointing numbers. HDD projects that it will sell just about 7k to 9k copies in the first week.
On the other hand, Logic, who dropped a surprise project titled Bobby Tarantino out of no where this past Friday, is expected to move 20k-23k units including streams.
On top of the charts, Drake’s Views will probably end its 9 week reign at the number 1 spot, thanks to debut of Bilnk-182’s comeback album California which is projected to sell 140-145k.
