Bow Wow had previously hinted that his upcoming album titled Underrated might be his final one and over the weekend, the rapper finally confirmed that he’s retiring from rap at the age of 29.

Bow took to his social media to tell fans that he will be hanging up the mic after the release of his new album, which is now titled NYLTH. It will be executive produced by his “uncle” Snoop Dogg who introduced the then 12 year old rapper to rap. He was previously said to be working closely with mentor Jermaine Dupri on the album.
Shad Moss, then known as “Lil Bow Wow” released his first album Beware of Dog in 2000 and had achieved the rare feat of having a platinum album at the age of 13. His three album run from 2003 to 2006 spawned three solid efforts — Unleashed, Wanted and The Price of Fame which cemented his status as one of the best young emcees in the game at the time. But since then, apart from his Greenlight mixtape series, he has struggled to maintain the interest of the listeners and find a hit single despite releasing a few from time to time.
Hopefully, he will go out of the game strong with his final one.
