Even though his name has been bigger than ever for a couple of years, thanks in big part to his feud with Drake, Kendrick Lamar has kind of disappeared into the shadows as of late. Aside from appearing on Baby Keem’s Ca$ino album a few times, it’s been a while since he’s done something musically.
With Drake’s Iceman dropping on Friday, it was always likely we were going to be hearing talk about Kendrick this week but this afternoon, there’s some interesting news that’s a little left-field.
Fans have noticed that on Apple Music and TIDAL, Kendrick’s ‘GNX‘ album and his single ‘euphoria‘ have been removed. To add to that, the ‘Not Like Us‘ and ‘Luther‘ music videos have also disappeared from YouTube, “removed by the uploader”.
There’s no word on what this really means, but that hasn’t stopped people online from speculating, of course. Some are throwing it out there that the album/songs are being investigated for using bots. Some think this is a case of catalog transfer. We think both are unlikely, but it’s worth keeping an eye on anyway.
UPDATE: Both videos are now back on YT and the album has also returned on Apple Music.
