Kendrick Lamar's Super Bowl 59 halftime performance was nothing short of legendary, leaving fans buzzing with surprise cameos and bold moments that took his long-running feud with Drake to new heights. It’s hard to believe that Cassie hasn’t released an album in a decade. The singer had a few false starts for her sophomore album, the follow up to the self titled debut which was entirely produced by Ryan Leslie. Her last project was the Rockabyebaby mixtape in 2013 which featured appearances from Fabolous, French Montana, Jeremih, Pusha T, Wiz Khalifa and more.

Since then, she has been on and off with the music and quite regular with modelling and movies, and why not — she’s easily one of the hottest woman in the biz.

But now it looks like she’s ready to get back to her first love. On the red carpet of last night’s MTV VMAs, Cassie, who was rocking yellow hair, revealed that she will soon be releasing a new single titled ‘Make Up‘ which is produced by Detail. She also mentioned that she’s recorded plenty of material with the platinum producer.

Cassie fans will also be glad to know that another new song from her, ‘Joint (No Sleep)’ is set to appear on the soundtrack of Honey 3 movie which hits stores September 2nd. The film stars Cassie along along with Kenny Wormald.

UPDATE: Cassie revealed to Billboard that she’s signed a new deal with Bad Boy/Epic Records and that first single ‘Make Up’ is coming in a few weeks.
