The Hip-Hop world has been buzzing with talk surrounding Lil Wayne’s supposed retirement, ever since he went on Twitter to hint that he’s retiring soon.
Fans around the world, including Kendrick Lamar expressed their unhappiness over the matter as they all think it’s too soon for Weezy to take such a step. The rapper has been embroiled in a battle with Cash Money head honcho Birdman over unpaid royalties, also resulting in hostage of his long awaited album Tha Carter V.

But will Lil Wayne really hang up the mic? The rapper, who has performed the intro for Skip Bayless and Shannon Sharpe’s UNDISPUTED show on Fox Sports 1, appeared live in studio today and addressed the biggest question on everybody’s mind.
Weezy didn’t answer the question straight but said that the tweet came after he got emotional following an “argument,” hinting that the said argument was connected with Cash Money issues.
When asked whether he will work with Birdman again if the business issues are sorted out, Weezy was quick to say a no. He also mentioned that he’s got a lot more in him before he hangs up the mic and appreciated various artists like Young Thug & Kendrick Lamar who reached out to him with love after the controversial tweet.
He also told the hosts that he’s never experienced racism in America:
On Saturday, he released a new single ‘Grateful‘ featuring Gudda Gudda exclusively on TIDAL.
