The creators of Empire have been teasing the involvement of Mariah Carey on the show for a while now. The co-creator of the Fox series, Lee Daniels, is a good friend of hers and it’s no surprise that the superstar will finally make a proper appearance on the show next week as Kitty.
Mariah has also contributed to the music for the show, collaborating with Jussie Smollett and rest of the cast on the new song ‘Infamous’ which is available for stream today (via EW).
Empire airs on Wednesday at 9 p.m. EST on Fox.
