Things have gone sour between U-God and rest of the Wu-Tang Clan — especially RZA.
The OG member has filed a suit in New York, alleging that Wu-Tang hasn’t paid him his share of royalties for his contributions to their 12 albums for past 6 years. In the documents, U-God claims he has contributed to about 170 tracks for the group since its inception in 1993. He also claims that as per the contact with the group, he is supposed to receive 2 annual payments for his share of profits from merch sales but he hasn’t got a penny.
In addition to the above, the veteran emcee also alleges that he hasn’t received any payment from the sale of their secret album Once Upon a Time in Shaolin which Martin Shkreli bought for $2 million. His case in the court demands $2.5 million for numerous breaches of contract, reports TMZ.
