Is Lil Wayne preparing to release Tha Carter V finally? During a skateboarding podcast last week, Lil Wayne announced a new project titled Funeral and that fans should be looking forward to more “good news” in the near future.
Today, a long preview of a new song from the rapper has surfaced, titled ‘Start This Sh*t Off Right’. Mannie Fresh recently sat down with THEDO & MAQ for their DaTakeOver podcast where he played the new song for the hosts and audience present. It definitely has the classic Mannie Fresh throwback sound. According to LWHQ, the track also features vocals from Weezy’s ex-girlfriend Christina Milian but we can’t hear her much in this particular portion.

UPDATE: During the interview, Mannie also played two other snippets for the hosts. One is an untitled song which could be from the duo’s upcoming EDM project:
The second one is possibly a remix of Big Tymers (Birdman and Mannie Fresh)’s 1998 song ‘Big Ballin’, featuring 2 Chainz which could land on Collegrove 2.
