L.A. based musician Thundercat has shown his talents in music for years now but it wasn’t until his contribution to Kendrick Lamar’s To Pimp A Butterfly album that most of the mainstream actually became aware of him. He eventually won a Grammy for his work on Kendrick Lamar’s 2015 masterpiece.
On February 24th, the bassist, singer and songwriter is releasing his fourth studio album Drunk which has guest appearances from the likes of Flying Lotus, Wiz Khalifa, Pharrell, Kamasi Washington, Kenny Loggins, and former Doobie Brother Michael McDonald. But there is also Kendrick Lamar himself who assists Thundercat on the very chilled out ‘Walk On By’.
