The first question to pop up in your head after seeing the above image might be — is this photoshopped?
No, it actually isn’t. It looks like 50 Cent and DJ Khaled don’t hate each other as much as we thought. Or they have actually buried their long running beef? The two moguls were photographed together along with The LOX backstage at the the group’s tour stop in Atlanta last night.
Uncle Murda, who is the latest signee to G-Unit Records, is a supporting act on The LOX’s tour so 50 stopped by to show love. As we know, 50 and DJ Khaled have been on opposite ends for years now. 50 had released a video of Khaled’s mother back in 2009, a tape that he says “the DVD guy” aka French Montana gave to him. The incident, coupled with Khaled’s growing friendship with Rick Ross, led to the tensions between the two fire up even further.
It’s important to note that Khaled never directly addressed 50’s accusations of French providing the tape to the G-Unit general. In an interview with MTV Rapfix Live in 2013, Khaled said: “Well, I’ve known French for a long time, I’ve never asked him and I’m not going to ask him — that’s my brother, French Montana’s my brother. He’s family and I don’t know nothing about that. I don’t think French would be around me [and not address it] because he keeps it 100 and he is family, he is my friend and he is part of the team. So, like, it goes back to the earlier conversations. All I know is positive and love. I’m not going to distort it and put that negative energy around me ’cause that’s not going to happen.”
Khaled becomes the latest artist over the years towards whom 50 has sort of softened his stance. Previously, Cam’ron, The Game and Young Buck have been the lucky ones.
