Has Lil Wayne officially partnered with Jay Z’s Roc Nation?
Lil Wayne signing with Roc Nation rumors aren’t new. Back in 2015, the rapper announced that he had signed a “deal” with Jay Z, leading to talks that it was a label deal. But it ended up being a business partnership with Hov’s company TIDAL where he now owns a stake as an artist owner.
But last night, Weezy performed a show at Slippery Rock University in Pennsylvania where he made a similar announcement that he has joined the Roc. “Is it cool if I just say it? Its the Roc. You know I’m a member of that team now. We’ll talk about that later though,” the Young Money boss told the crowd full of ladies before going into his smash ‘Lollipop’. He of course didn’t specify any details but could this be the breakthrough to finally get his long awaited The Carter V album out there? We’ll soon find out.
