The Chainsmokers have managed a string of hits these past couple of years but it’s now finally to prove whether they can be taken seriously as album artists. Their debut studio album Memories…Do Not Open hits stores later tonight (April 7) and features guest appearances from Coldplay, Emily Warren, Florida Georgia Line and Jhene Aiko.
The duo’s collaboration ‘Wake Up Alone’ with Jhene is available today. It has the same feel that the Chainsmokers are known for, with a vocal sample doing part of the hook duties. “I don’t need cars, I don’t need clothes, forget that money ‘Cause if I go home all on my own, it ain’t worth nothing,” sings the L.A. based crooner on a mid tempo beat.
The album is available for pre-order now but it can already be streamed in its entirety in select international markets. Stream ‘Wake Up Alone’ below.
