50 Cent is expanding his TV business.
BET has given the green light to 50 to host his own variety show called 50 Central on its network. It has acquired 24 episodes of the 30-minute late night show, which will be hosted by the G-Unit General himself. The series will feature sketches, hidden-camera pranks, musical performances and A-list celebrity guests. It is produced by G-Unit Film & Television in partnership with Back Roads Entertainment with 50, Stephen J. Savva, Colby Gaines and Riley Robbins serving as executive producers.
The series was earlier slated to be on A&E last year. 50 Cent and BET have already released a sneak peek of the show as well, which you can watch below. Apart from 50 Central, BET also has documentaries on Bobby Brown and Death Row Records in the works, following the huge success of The New Edition Story. In related news, 50’s hit Starz show Power is set to return June 25th for its fourth season.
