Chance The Rapper is the latest guest for NPR’s Tiny Desk concert series. But he took a different approach than most — he wrote a poem and he wrote it while on the way from his hotel in Washington, D.C. to the NPR Music offices.
Calling it The Other Side, Chance debuted it in the middle of his set, reading from his notes written out in black marker on sheets of typing paper. Chance’s poem The Other Side was sandwiched between an opening version of ‘Juke Jam’ from Coloring Book and stunning cover of Stevie Wonder’s 1974 song ‘They Won’t Go When I Go’.
