There were a lot of eyes on Compton rapper Buddy after he signed to Pharrell’s I am OTHER imprint a few years ago but things went quiet for him soon after. We then heard the news that he has decided to depart from the label but still maintained a good relationship with Pharrell.
Following his collaborative Ocean & Montana EP with producer Kaytranada in May, Buddy is now prepping the release of another EP titled Magnolia. It will be released in a few weeks via his own imprint Cool Lil Company. He made the announcement last week along with dropping a new song ‘That Much‘.
Buddy returns today with the follow up single ‘Type of Sh*t’ where he takes assistance from the cool guy Wiz Khalifa. Backed by a trippy but smooth instrumental, Buddy and Wiz rap about all the types of stuff that make them happy.
