There’s no harm aiming for the improbable they say. Drake’s run of 430 weeks (translating to more than 8 years) of presence on the Billboard Hot 100 came to an last week. In May this year, Drake had already became the first artist in history to remain on the Billboard Hot 100 chart for eight continuous years, a run that goes back to his chart debut on May 23, 2009 with ‘Best I Ever Had’.
TMZ caught Drizzy outside TAO in Hollywood on Thursday night and asked for his comments on his streak. In a surprise reaction, the Toronto star told the paparazzi, “I need 500.” Drake is usually very well aware of his records and stats so it’s hard to believe that he doesn’t exactly know of this particular feat. Or maybe he’s just stating that he needs a 500 week stretch the next go around.
Either way, it’s a pretty interesting reaction from Drake that could be interpreted in a lot of ways. Watch the footage below.
