50 Cent is doing a promo round for his new BET show 50 Central which premieres today (Wednesday) at 10.30 pm. After an interview with Ebro in The Morning yesterday where 50 also jokingly confronted Ebro over the “50 Cent killed New York Hip-Hop” controversy, 50 followed it up by making a stop on The Breakfast Club this morning.
50 spoke on the concept of 50 Central and some of the talent that is assisting him on it. He reveals that as many as 24 shows will air in the first round and will have music video premieres among other things. 50 was also asked about his views on Kevin Hart’s cheating scandal, Usher’s herpes drama, success of Power, the specifics of his Effen Vodka deal & how he’s still involved in the brand, Donald Trump being racist, Eminem’s lack of public appearances and more.
At the 42:40 mark, the G-Unit boss spoke about working on new music. 50 says he’s recorded a lot of material but he kinda re-did it to maintain a fine balance between a sound that can work in the clubs in current environment but still be the “50 Cent” style. Watch the full interview below.
