DeJ Loaf’s single ‘No Fear‘ has been a runaway radio success but for some strange reason, that did not translate to solid numbers on digital stores and streaming services, thereby not really making a mark on the Billboard Hot 100.
But as the Detroit artist gets closer to dropping her debut album, she has decided to unveil her new single ‘Changes’ today. When ‘No Fear’ dropped, not many were expecting the upbeat sound. She has surprised us again with the follow up single as she goes for a very early 2000s, Jazz influenced instrumental filled with horns.
On the song, she rhymes about her never ending hustle and going through the necessary changes in her life. “Old friends will turn into strangers, ex lovers mad that I’m famous, they see the picture I’m painting,” croons DeJ over the banging beat produced by Ricky Reed. Stream the song below.
