Lute signed to J. Cole’s Dreamville label back in 2015 but hasn’t been very active. Until now.
The Charlotte, North Carolina rapper has released his debut album West 1996 Pt. 2 across all digital services tonight. This comes after his brief appearance on the Dreamville compilation project Revenge Of The Dreamers II in 2015 with the song ‘Still Slummin‘.

The 11 song project features the song again but this time, it has some upgrades. It now features J. Cole providing some backup vocals, particularly on the soulful chorus. It was confirmed by Dreamville executive and J. Cole’s manager Ibrahim ‘Ib’ Hamad after a fan pointed it out. You can hear the new version along with rest of the album on iTunes or Spotify below.
