Funkmaster Flex Says DJ Clue is a “Wack DJ”

DJ Funkmaster Flex and DJ Clue have been long time rivals in the NY music scene with the heat between them never ceasing to cool down. The faces of Hot 97 and Power 105.1 FM respectively, have thrown various shots at each other over the years.

But earlier this year, Swizz Beatz tried to arrange a DJ/beat battle between the two heavyweights so the world could decide a winner. In a video posted to social media, Swizz had pushed DJ Clue to participate in the battle. Clue said he was all up for it provided the terms were right and the “bag” was ready to be sent. Funk Flex had responded in the affirmative as well: “He don’t want no DJ action at all!!!! I’m ready Date and Time let me fucking know!!!!!!! Hahaha!!! Tell him to bring that Clue Bomb too!!!!!!!”

But it’s been months since that and no battle has been announced between the two yet. However, it doesn’t even look like Funk Flex considers DJ Clue his competition as he thinks he’s a wack DJ. In an interview with Thisis50’s Winners Circle segment, Flex said Clue was a good person but he didn’t know how to DJ and could never compete with someone like himself who comes from the school of legends like Kool DJ Red Alert, Kid Capri, DJ Marley Marl and Clark Kent.
