It takes a lot to make J. Cole tweet these days. For a few years now he’s tweeted only about new artists signing to Dreamville and tour updates.
But he was inspired to tweet today. Cole took to Twitter to address Donald Trump’s recent comments on Colin Kaepernick and offer solutions on how people like you and I can boycott the NFL. He suggested not watching games, avoiding companies who sponsor the organisation and more. Oh, and he also shouted out Cardi B and gave her some advice.
You’ll remember that a short while back on tour he criticised the Baltimore Ravens for not signing Colin and stooed with him and Nessa in an “I know my rights” shirt. It’s good to see the support continue. Check out some of the highights below and the full thread here.
Also Cardi b I seen your breakfast club interview, loved it. Don't put all that pressure on your album. You already won. Just drop & repeat

God bless every player that finds courage to kneel today. But the real power comes from you deciding to not watch.

Black people spend a lot of money with NFL corporate sponsors. White people who don't fuck with white supremacy spend a lot of money too.

This may be the biggest opportunity we have ever been presented to come together and show the world and ourselves our true economic power.
