Sad news is coming in that Doughboy Roc of the rap group Doughboyz Cashout was shot and killed in Detroit earlier today.
CBS Detroit reports that the incident happened around 3:30 p.m. on Monday while the rapper was siting inside a white Hyundai at Stoepel Street and Westfield Avenue, near I-96 and Livernois Avenue. Police have not officially confirmed the identity of the victim at this time.
Doughboyz Cashout consists of members Chaz the manager, Payroll, Big Quis, Dre, HBK, and Roc. Chaz and HBK. In 2013, they had signed to Jeezy’s Atlantic-distributed CTE record label. “I saw Detroit, I saw some kids that did all the work. They did all the work and I just wanted to show the world what they were working on,” Jeezy said of signing Doughboyz Cashout. “Detroit bred some great hustlers, some great talent from Eminem to Big Sean, but now it’s time for the ghetto superstars. The world gotta see this.”
