Jay-Z kept a low profile and didn’t make too many public appearances before the release of his last album 4:44 but since it’s out now, Hov has been pretty much everywhere.
Jay-Z performed at Saturday Night Live tonight for their season 43 premiere, his first visit there since 2010. It was hosted by La La Land star Ryan Gosling. The episode started with a monologue making fun of Donald Trump’s handling of aid to Puerto Rico after Hurricane Maria and his fights with the NFL and North Korea. It continued for the remaining of the show.
Wearing a Colin Kaepernick “7” jersey to support his “Take a Knee” stand, the Jay-Z started off his set with the 4:44 cut ‘Bam’ with some help from the song’s guest Damian Marley on the vocals and Young Guru on the boards. ‘Bam’ is the new official single from Hov’s latest album. Watch it below.
Later, Hov came back to the set and performed the personal track ‘4:44’ live.
