Nicki Minaj has finished the remix to Lil Uzi Vert’s new single ‘The Way Life Goes’.
In August, Nicki Minaj was seen by fans stanning for the song on her Instagram when she posted a video of herself singing along to it. “Ummm Uzi better make this a single, send me the beat, and quit playin,” she wrote in the caption. The obvious guess was that she will be featured on the official remix to the song since Uzi wouldn’t like to pass on such an opportunity.
Nicki has now confirmed that she has already done the remix but someone is holding it off and that someone is not Uzi himself. “Been done!!! but apparently someone somewhere wants to hold back on putting it out right now. It’s not me & it’s not Uzi tho. Tea anyone?” wrote the rapper in a response to a fan who wanted to know the status of the remix.

As we reported earlier this month, ‘The Way Life Goes’ serves as the second single from Uzi’s number 1 debut album Luv is Rage 2. It was added to urban radio two weeks ago and scored the “top added song” position immediately.
Nicki herself is hard at work on her forthcoming fourth studio album, due out later this year. “Sonically, I know what the album’s about to sound like. I know what this album is gonna mean to my fans. This album is everything in my life coming full circle and me being truly, genuinely happy. It feels almost like a celebration,” she told NY Times in an interview last week.
