Chingy hasn’t been active in releasing music for past few yeras but he’s now trying to make a comeback with a new single, an EP and eventually a full length album as well.
The St. Louis rapper, who is best known for his 2003 debut album Jackpot which spawned the hits ‘Right Thurr’, ‘Holidae In’ and ‘One Call Away’ — has dropped a new single titled ‘FYR’ along with a music video. The song is the first taste off his upcoming EP of the same name which stands for F**k Your Respect.
Chingy says the song is a “representation of all those individuals who don’t need approval from others to be successful.” The EP is expected to drop later in November which will be followed by the official album titled DeadRose. It will be his first studio album since 2007’s Hate It or Love It.
Chingy has also partnered with Amazon Alexa for the new project. Using the technology, fans will be able to play the EP and single, get Chingy’s tour and bio information, and more through the voice technology which he also promotes in the music video for ‘FYR’. Check it out below. Does Chingy still have it to make an impact?
