[Saturday Spotlight] benny mayne & Notoriety

We re-launched our Saturday Spotlight series last week to a great response. It’s heartening to see how many young artists value getting a look on our platform so please keep them coming!

We received over three dozen submissions during the past week and quite honestly, we have only been able to go through about 75% of it. We’re trying our best to listen to as much as possible but we’re humans at the end of the day. Today, we bring to you two artists from almost the opposite side of spectrum, Benny Mayne and Notoriety.

First up is Benny Mayne, a Toronto based singer and songwriter who hasn’t revealed too much about himself yet. But just off his unreleased music, he has been able to score a deal with Paradigm Agency (booking agent for the likes of Lil Uzi Vert, Wacka Flocka, Coldplay, Ed Sheeran, Gucci Mane, Sia, Run The Jewels and more) and landed a distribution deal with EMPIRE. Here’s his latest release titled ‘bounce’, a dirty R&B jam produced by Mantra (Rihanna, Future & more).

Notoriety

Notoriety is an independent duo consisting of emcee Vydle Sinez and emcee/singer Incredible Chuck. They have been lucky to tour Europe with their limited releases and now looking to hit it big with their new single ‘Dino Spumoni’. The dark video was shot at a forest near group member Vydle’s home and a nearby wildlife reservation. Watch it below.
