It’s been a long ride for Nipsey Hussle but everything finally seems to be coming together for the talented L.A. rapper. He is releasing his debut album Victory Lap via a joint venture between his All Money In imprint and Atlantic Records on Feb. 16th.
After the sharing the star studded tracklist for the album the other day, the emcee decided today to unveil the much anticipated collaboration with Kendrick Lamar titled ‘Dedication’ via Beats 1 radio. In an interview with Zane Lowe (watch below), Nipsey revealed that the track came together quite randomly. He had intended to send another song to K.Dot for a potential guest verse but the TDE rapper picked a song that Nipsey’s engineer snuck to him which K.Dot really liked.
.@NipseyHussle and @kendricklamar step up with a #WorldRecord track. @zanelowe has the first play of #Dedication. Hear it Tuesday:

Nipsey said that Kendrick’s verse is about a deep conversation that the two had with Top Dawg at the 2Pac “All Eyez on Me” movie premiere in L.A. last year. Stream the very woke banger below.
