The Roots and Live Nation Urban have teamed up to present the eleventh annual Roots Picnic which will take place June 2, 2018 at Festival Pier in Philadelphia, PA.
Like previous years, the festival this time again combines music, art, fashion, comedy and wellness. The Roots will headline the event with a very special “Jam Session” hosted by Dave Chappelle, with a set accompanied by surprise guests. In addition, the fest will also feature live performances from Lil Uzi Vert, Dirty Projectors, The Diplomats, 2 Chainz, Dvsn, Brandy and more.
Black Thought will do a Live Mixtape session as well, along with guests Fabolous & Jadakiss while DJ Drama will do a Gangsta Grillz segment with special guests. For the first time, the fest will also hold a Podcast Stage which plays host to live podcasts such as Drink Champs, On One with Angela Rye, Questlove Supreme, and more.
