The premiere episode of Season 2 of the hit TV series Atlanta debuts tonight (March 1) so Donald Glover made a stop on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert last night to talk about the show and more.
During the chat, Donald Glover spoke on why he wears multiple hats, the inspiration behind creating Atlanta, why he’s always been a curious guy, why he didn’t play a rapper in the series and more. Donald Glover also talked about Childish Gambino, his rap personality and said that being a rapper is “awkward” because “you’re in a video and you’ve got, like, champagne and butts close to your face.” That’s probably why we haven’t heard him rap in a long time.
Stephen Colbert also introduced Glover to Charity Joy, the young girl who went viral on social media for using his hit single ‘Redbone’ to sell Girl Scout cookies. Watch it below.
