It was Drake Night on Friday while the Raptors had a 58-43 lead on the Rockets and the rapper took the opportunity to address the crowd during halftime. While praising his home team, Drake promised that he is working on his new album, dedicated to the city of Toronto.
The rapper, who’s the team’s global ambassador, addressed the crowd by shouting out the Raptors for being No. 1 in the East and thanking fans for attending the game. “I love each and every one of you,” said Drake. “I’m happy to be home. I’m working on this new album for the city.” Watch the video below.

Drake released his last studio album Views in 2016 which is already 4x platinum. He followed that up with the More Life “playlist” last year. His current single ‘God’s Plan‘ continues to dominate the charts, holding the number 1 position on Billboard 200 for 6th week in a row.
