Eminem is an artist with one of the biggest followings on Twitter at over 22.6 million but he has only posted about 750 tweets. Most of them are promoting some product or other, be it an album, merch, single, festival tickets or the like.
But on Tuesday, Eminem announced to the world that he has taken control over his own Twitter account. In a video clip he shared on Instagram, Em is seen sitting on a couch with his phone in the hands, checking out his account. Someone (maybe Paul Rosenberg) walks in the room and asks the rapper, “What are you doing?” to which he replies, “I’m on Twitter. I’m taking control of my own Twitter now.”
He soon went on Twitter to post what could be his first personal tweet. “Everyone thinks i don’t write my own tweets but i wrote this one,” he wrote. Shady fans were thrilled of course.
