We still don’t have the exact release date for ASAP Rocky’s new album Testing but at least we now know that it’s done and coming soon.
Last evening (Sunday), Rocky revealed the official artwork for his album during the “lab rat” live stream in New York. He’s also gracing the cover of latest issue of Complex magazine. In the interview, the ASAP mob leader speaks on creating his own lane, what we can expect from the upcoming LP, being inspired by people like Tyler, The Creator & Frank Ocean, and much more.
The rapper also touched on making the album without the guidance of ASAP Yams this time. “It wasn’t the same without Yams. It’s like any legacy that loses a pioneer, you gotta keep goin’. Yams is a spirit, he’s an energy. He was always about discovering new talent and trying to put new people on,” he said.
ASAP Rocky hinted at possible Kanye West collaboration on his album, revealing that they have done a “lot of music” together with some intended to be on the project. Watch the chat below.
