DJ Mustard has decided to go by only “Mustard” from now on. The L.A. based hitmaker has mentioned in several interviews that he doesn’t intend on getting stuck in a certain sound and wants to explore other genres of music.
Mustard scored his first non Hip-Hop hit with Rihanna’s ‘Needed Me‘ in 2016 and now he’s looking to repeat that with a new single with Pop singer Nick Jonas. The result titled ‘Anywhere’ — is a mix between EDM, Trap and Pop with a synth heavy baseline. It’s definitely a relatively new territory for Mustard who has his own 10 Summers Records with Interscope.
“You could be anywhere right now / It ain’t hard to see / I’ll be your light / if you say the words to me,” croons Nick on the chorus. The song is now out in select international markets. Stream/preview it below.
