Donald Trump is taking full advantage of Kanye West’s support towards him.
During his speech at the National Rifle Association’s (NRA) annual convention on Friday, Trump thanked Kanye for improving his popularity in polls among African-Americans. “By the way, Kanye West must have some power, because you probably saw I doubled my African-American poll numbers. We went from 11 to 22 in one week, thank you Kanye,” he said, inviting a huge cheer from the audience.

Trump appeared to be referring to numbers from a Reuters tracking poll that noted an 11-point rise in support among black men between April 22 and April 29. That is the time frame when Kanye tweeted a picture of himself wearing a “Make America Great Again” hat and criticized former President Barack Obama.
Kanye has sparked outrage and serious debate among the Hip-Hop and African-American communities in recent days with tweets and interviews in support of Trump. The latest was his appearance on TMZ Live where he said, “I love Trump, that’s my boy.”
