Push T continued his “surgical Summer” run last evening (Saturday) as he made his way on the stage to perform a fiery set at Governors Ball festival in New York City.
The energy definitely seemed tense during the G.O.O.D. Music President’s set at Randall’s Island. This was the first time for Pusha performing new tracks from his latest album Daytona which has been received very well by fans. He opened the set with ‘If You Know You Know” and followed that up with the album standout ‘Games We Play’.
But before going into the latter, the young crowd at the venue started chanting “f*ck Drake” but Pusha put his hand up to stop them. It seemed unprompted but you can tell how involved the fans are in the ongoing Pusha T-Drake beef. Watch the video clip below.
Pusha continued to play various songs off Daytona including ‘What Would Meek Do?’ and ‘Infrared’ which he obviously saved for the last. Fans online have commented that the 41-year old emcee ended his set approximately 15 minutes before the scheduled end time.
Yesterday, Kanye called for an end to the beef between Drake and Pusha T.
