Elliott Wilson’s first CRWN with Nicki Minaj took place almost 4 years ago in December of 2014 right after her last album The Pinkprint dropped. You can watch it here. Pretty much immediately, it got heralded as one of the best interviews of Nicki’s career by her loyal fan base and ever since they’ve been asking for another one. And their wish has come true tonight.
Tonight in New York, the first ever double guest on CRWN sits down with Elliott Wilson. The interview was supposed to start at 9PM EST but is of course running a little late. It should be starting in a few minutes and if you’re a member of TIDAL, you can live stream the event in full below. If not, you can get a 3 minute preview.
During the interview, Nicki spoke on various songs on Queen. She asked the crowd if they wanted her to updated the Swae Lee featured ‘Chun-Swae’ and she got a big approval from them. She discussed the Nas featured ‘Sorry’ as well which didn’t make the cut on the album. “We didn’t know Tracy Chapman wrote that song because that’s a vintage dancehall song,” said Nicki about the sample clearance issues.
When talking about competition, Nicki commented, “Every two years I get told about some new female rapper… to me, it’s silly now to compare me to women because there’s no woman that can put up the stats that I’ve generated.” When asked about the recent trouble with Cardi B, Nicki said, “If that time comes, I’m prepared. If at anytime anything that I’m saying is contested, I’m ready because I don’t have anything to lie about.”

Nicki Minaj has updated her album Queen with ‘FEFE’ featuring 6ix9ine serving as the bonus track. Earlier today in an interview with Funk Flex, Nicki said that she never responded to music writer Wanna and spoke on collaborating with Tekashi, criticism from music fans, Safaree lying about her ghostwriting and more.
