When the tracklist for Nicki Minaj’s new album Queen came out, fans were surprised to see that Drake was not making a guest appearance on it. That’s because Nicki shared a clip of her on Instagram in the studio with Drizzy a few days prior to the release.
Drake appeared on both The Pinkprint and Pink Friday, but he was missing this time around. In an interview with DJ Whoo Kid on Shade 45, Nicki reveals that his Young Money/Cash Money label mate almost made it on the album but they ran out of time. “Drake and I were working on something, but I didn’t want to change the date of the album,” she said. “So about two days before I had to turn it in, he and I had been going back and forth. And then even up until, I would say, within 12 hours of having to turn in my album, we were going back and forth,” she continued.
