Previous story:
This past Friday was pretty heavy for Hip-Hop releases. Metro Boomin dropped his compilation album Not All Heroes Wear Capes after just a day’s notice. We also saw Takeoff’s solo album and Vince Staples’ new effort, FM!
The first week sales projections for the albums are now here. HDD reports that Metro Boomin’s album, which features guest appearances from Travis Scott, Swae Lee, Gucci Mane, Kodak Black, 21 Savage and more, will move approximately 45-55k copies in the first week, with 3-4k out of that coming from pure sales.
Migos member Takeoff released his solo debut The Last Rocket with minimal guest appearances, which is expected to move 35-45k copies in the first week (3-4k pure sales) while Vince Staples’ Def Jam set FM! is on course to move 16-19k (2-3k pure). Make sure to check back early next week for updates on the numbers.
