Lil Wayne released his latest album Tha Carter V after much struggle which was mainly due to the legal battle with Cash Money Records over unpaid royalties.
But when the album did arrive late September, it was certainly received well by Weezy fans, moving close to 500k copies in the first week itself. Now less than 7 weeks later, C5 has surpassed a million copies in total sales (including streaming numbers), making it eligible for Platinum status. Well deserved!
