Tekashi 6ix9ine appeared in court today where he pled not guilty to federal racketeering and firearms charges.
The judge in his case has set his trial for September 4, 2019 which of course is a long way off. TMZ reports that he’s expected to remain behind bars for most of that period since his bail has been denied. Tekashi was denied bail when his lawyer Lance Lazzaro offered to pay $750k, surrender his passport and remain on house arrest.
6ix9ine and several associates were arrested in New York City on federal crime charges last week. According to the six-count indictment, the controversial rapper and the other associates including his manager, Shottie “participated in the operation and management of” the Nine Trey Bloods. The group is accused of murder, robbery, assault, the sale of drugs, and more. The feds believe Tekashi himself pulled an armed robbery on April 3 along his friends.
A few days ago, he was transferred from federal prison to an unknown location due to safety concerns. Over the weekend, his album Dummy Boy leaked online following being available on his website briefly.
